MAX 2006 Korea - new products...

by kai on 16/11/2006

The exhibition area of the MAX 2006 Korea was obviously way smaller than the exhibition area of MAX USA. But still - I've seen a few very interesting products for Flex 2 and nice mobile stuff. Too bad that CDMA is so strong in Korea, I would have loved to get myself a new phone over there. I'll talk about the new Flex stuff tomorrow or so - have to get some sleep now, bloody time difference!

Finally... below are the slides as a flashpaper document and a download link pointing to a pdf version of the slides.

MAX 2006 Korea - photos in Flickr and videos...?

by kai on 16/11/2006

I've put some of my photos from MAX 2006 Korea in my Flickr account. As this is just a basic and free account (shame on me, but never got round to use it a lot - anyone wants to upgrade my account to pro for a year?...I'd really appreciate it :-) ), the quality is rather low (appr.640x480 or so). Have fun having a look at them and leave a comment. If anyone would like to have the large version of…

MAX 2006 Korea - back home

by kai on 16/11/2006

The wireless speed was pretty screwed yesterday afternoon during Robin's session, so I've ended up having some entries multiple time. I'm back home now - Robin and I made it to Incheon airport in time (well, at least I've boarded my flight in time and I suppose that Robin managed to do the same after dropping my off at gate 23 ;) To summarize my impressions of the last 3-4 days being over in…

MAX 2006 Korea Day 2

by kai on 15/11/2006

My first session today was about Flex and Ajax, a topic which I roughly know about, but my experience with the combination of both was pretty much up at the surface. It's interesting what one could achieve with the combination, I'll have to look into that in the future! The other session I was attending today (right now) is Robin's talk about architectures for Flex applications. His talk also…

MAX 2006 Korea Day 1

by kai on 15/11/2006

Wow, wow, wow. Did I say WOW? Heading over to the conference area in the hotel was a really amazing experience. I've expected about 300-500 people attending the conference, given that it was "just" MAX Korea - but it turned out that the Korean Adobe team managed to get nearly 1100 paying attendees. That's incredible, absolutely awesome! I have no idea how many people registered for MAX in Las…

MAX 2006 Korea Day 0

by kai on 15/11/2006

I've lacked a bit of being up-to-date with reporting from MAX 2006 in Korea. So - at least now some report... I've arrived Sunday late night. The bus trip from Incheon Airport into the southern part of the city took ages - Incheon is pretty much in the middle of nowhere as there was litereally no way of building this huge airport closer to the city. My Monday (Day 0) was full on with wandering…

Off to MAX Korea now

by kai on 11/11/2006

I'm just hanging out in Auckland International's Koru longue to wait for my flight to Seoul (boarding starts in about 30 mins). I will attend MAX Korea over there - so if any of you reading this will be there as well - make sure to drop me a line and say hello during the conference. I'll be in the conference hotel and try to be online in Skype (use the big green "Skype me" button in the left…

MAX Korea 2006

by kai on 21/10/2006

But saying that (in my last entry) - I will have a chance to visit Asia around mid-November. Adobe invited me to come over to Seoul in Korea and talk about Flex during their MAX Korea 2006 conference. Actually, I'm pretty excited - this will be my first trip to Asia (besides being in airports and changing planes on my way to either Australia or New Zealand) - should be very interesting! I'm going…
