Adaption of Webservices and SOAs

by kai on 29/07/2004

Yesterday I read an interesting article in a german IT business publication. OIt was about the customers adaption of different web technologies which should end up in a so called Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Core of the article was a table regarding web standards and to-become-standards, how mature they are and how they are used in IT projects now: technology usage TCP/IP, HTTP,…

Eclipse 3.0 final and it's impact on MM-related plugins

by kai on 18/07/2004

End of June the Eclipse project released 3.0 final. This entry is about possible impacts on Macromedia-related plugins for Eclipse. The first look is on CFEclipse: The team release a 1.1.14 release some days ago which seems to be perfectly compatible to the 3.0 release of the workbench. Related to that and recommended is to read the CFEclipse Resource Page. Lots of information about installation…

So - got a quite good day ;-) It's a 222-paged study on the theory and concepts of web-based and rich internet applications on…

by kai on 06/06/2004

Macromedia released the Flash Player 7 for Linux some days ago. Great, another step into the direction of creating a platform independent virtual machine for our well-known and loved Rich Internet Applications. But: To be honest - are there so many people really working on a Linux-based client machine? Is that going to become a real trend or is it just another IT-world hype like Java Applets, Web…

ASP.NET 2.0

by kai on 08/05/2004

Komisch,…
