May 3rd: Breezo about "Eclipse & Macromedia"

by kai on 18/04/2005

On Tuesday May, 3rd my employer is going to start the new series of "msg talks", Breeze live sessions on certain technology topics around the Macromedia/Adobe technology family (did I mention that I really like Photoshop? Framemaker was always just awesome when I used it in university for writing).

Nevertheless...;) On May, 3rd, I'm up to host the first one of "msg talks 2.0" and the title is "Setting up and using Eclipse for development and design within the Macromedia universe". Covered topics will be:

- Setting up Eclipse
- Setting up Eclipse plugins
- Where to find plugins, what's available for MM developers?
- CFEclipse: installing and using for CFMX development
- Oxygen XML: installing and using for Flex development
- AS2plugin: installing and using for ActionScript development
- What else is available? An overview of very interesting plugins not directly affiliated with MM technologies

The interesting thing for non-German people might be that we're going to do the whole set of msg talks in English: English slides and English talks and that we start at 4pm local German time which should be 3pm London time, 10am EST and 7am US West Coast. So - might become interesting also for US attendees (However, I have to admit that getting up at 7am for this might be way early ;) In the other geo direction we'll broadcast quite late at night in Australia and at 2am the following day for the NZ folks... Maybe it's worth to have a look for the recording when you guys show up in the office ;)

Follow-up events contain topics like:

- ColdFusion configuration guidelines
- ColdFusion performance guidelines
- Building desktop applications with Macromedia Flex and Central
- FlashForms in CF 7
- AMF PHP vs. Flash Remoting
etc.

(to be held by various people, Agent M will also do at least one of them)

Right now, there's no URL yet available. If you want to get notified, just leave a comment with a valid email adress, they won't appear in the blog until I put them live and I won't do it with those. I'll post a registration URL as soon as someone created a site ;)

Cool, My intention was to stay awake for the cfform meeting in the online UG, but I did not manage to stay awake (getting old). 4pm I am usually awake though :) - Norway is on the same timeline as Germany.
